Privacy Policy
Earth is a static web app: there are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. We do not collect or store any personal data on our servers.
Data stored on your device
Your placemarks, notes, favorites, accent color and tile choice are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are removed when you clear your browser data.
Location
If you press the "My location" button, your browser asks for permission and the coordinates are used only to move the map in that moment. They are not stored by the app and are not sent to us.
Third-party services
- Map tiles and map data are requested directly from OpenFreeMap, EOX IT Services, NASA GIBS and USGS. Your IP address is necessarily visible to those servers.
- Station data is bundled with the app from radio-browser.info.
- Playing a station streams audio directly from that station's server; its website opens only if you tap the site icon. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.
- Street View opens Google Maps in a new tab, which is subject to Google's privacy policy.
Because requests go straight from your browser to these providers, we never see them.
